Weekend Trip to Kustermans Adventure Farm at Near by Place at London

After coming to Canada back in November 2024, this is probably the first time I have taken my family to a weekend getaway. It's not like I am not that much fond of hanging out in outdoor places, but I'm not sure, probably I have gotten too busy nowadays.

Actually, when I came to Canada, Mom couldn't come with us. So, somehow, I felt my family was not complete. I bring my Mom on August 7, and after that, I have decided to take my family to different tourist spots near London.

That's the reason why when my elder daughter asked me to take them on a weekend trip, I agreed instantly. However, I was unsure where to go even in the morning. After we got in the car, I searched for nearby places, especially Farms near London. My elder daughter suggested this Kustermans Adventure Farm. As I had not decided on any, I instantly agreed as I thought it could be a great adventure too.

We started from home at 11 am and reached there by 11.30 am.

It's only a 28-29-minute journey from my home.

The main attraction of Kustermans Adventure Farm was picking some specific seasonal fruits and vegetables. Probably, a few weeks back, they had a special occasion for Strawberry picking. Now, they have the occasion for Sunflower and Blueberry picking. Next month, they will have pumpkin picking season.

Today's event could be more fun if we could have the event to pick any fruits or vegetables. That was kind of bad luck for us, but I still consider going today, as the primary goal was to hang out with the family. The Sunflower picking event was not a bad option.

Overall, I liked the place. It has ample parking spaces, and the admission system was also very systematic. The ticket cost me $25 + 13% tax; however, if I had purchased the tickets online, it could have cost me $20 + 13% tax. In my opinion, the ticket price is also reasonable considering the playground and tour facility in the garden.

As my Mom travels in a wheelchair, it was a bit difficult to take her to the garden on a tractor pulling a carrier system. However, the staff was so friendly, he came to us and asked me if I needed any help. He lowered the carrier so that my Mom could ride on it with the wheelchair.

Honestly speaking, I was thinking about the staff's behaviour in my country, Bangladesh. If we were in Bangladesh, I am 100% sure that the staff would tell us that they don't have the option to take any person with a wheelchair. But the case here was different.

After we finished visiting the Sunflower garden, we had our lunch at the restaurant. We took our lunch from home because we are still not yet habituated to the taste of Canadian food. The restaurant has seating arrangements just outside its space. So we just got there with the lunch bag and had our meal. After that, we bought coffee and ice cream from the restaurant and enjoyed them.

We started from there around 3.30 pm and reached our home by 4 pm. Overall, it is definitely a good hangout place if you plan to visit with your family.
